Hello!,
My name is Stephanie and I assume you already know that considering my blog is titled "Stephanie's Multimedia blog". I'll start with the basics, I'm 20 years old. I'm Irish born but I'm half Bulgarian, half Russian. I thoroughly enjoy Art, in fact I was planning on attending NCAD originally and prepare a portfolio however I felt that i wouldn't enjoy it and scrapped that idea. I didn't get far in my portfolio making so it didn't all go to waste.
Because I'm bilingual I originally wanted to know even more languages and study them in college, however I soon realized that I'm not a huge fan of studying and it's not something I really liked doing. I didn't want to do a course I wouldn't enjoy so doing my own research I looked up key words on something I liked doing such as Graphic Design and Animation. I came across Creative Digital Media and liked the look of everything. So before the change of mind closed on CAO, I put CDM as my top pick and it's been my best decision since.
I've had a DSLR since I was 14 and would take photos for my facebook profile picture (budding photographer I know) but I like the fact that I'm actually able to understand the settings. Like I said earlier on, I really enjoy Art and have been drawing since I was as young as 3. Not my greatest work though I can promise you that, but I enjoyed different forms of Art whether that was drawing, painting, sculpting, or carving. I recently got into the Digital Art realm. I haven't done much so far and have been slacking A LOT recently but I did do this piece about 2 months after I got my Graphic Tablet.
The model actually noticed it when I posted it to my instagram which had me happy, hopefully in the future I'll get commissions from celebrities rather than doing them in hopes of getting some recognition. That being said I really wanna get into the Graphic Design part of the course, my favorite things so far from the course have been the designing part of Design Process and Practice and the creative thinking and creating process from Visual Creativity.

Hey Stephanie:) I enjoyed getting to know you better by reading this post. You clearly have a talent for art by the looks of it! I think you'd get a great career as an animator or something along those lines. I love anything to do with art too, it gets the creativity flowing! I remember seeing that post up on instagram it's so cool that she responded! Great intro post:)
ReplyDeletehiya Stephanie, really good introduction and photography is a lot of fun when your able to experiment without deadline pressures lol, your art looks really good like wow, i'm kinda blown away by how good it is, you definitely have a good talent for it.
ReplyDeletehopefully by the end of the course you will find better ways to get your work and information out there with the help of CDM and all it has to offer, i too love creating things but mostly through video, so i do hope all goes well for you, all and all great blog post ^_^
Hi Stephanie, was a great post really felt like I got to know you a lot reading it. That’s so cool that your bilingual I’d love to be able to speak more than one language fluently, I can speak very bad French and Irish but definitely wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation in them at all. Your obviously really good at art I love your drawing I’d say you were delighted it got noticed by the model! Was lovley getting to know you
ReplyDeleteHey Stephanie! You are very talented by the looks of things! I was thinking about going to NCAD too!! Like you, I knew I wanted to do something with Art and Creativity but I didn't exactly know what. But this course seemed to check all the boxes and I'm happy! Glad your liking it too!

I knew I wanted to do Creative Digital Media so it was on my CAO from day one. Is your graphics tablet difficult to draw on?
Hi Stephanie. Good to see you back at college, I really enjoyed your intro, it was interesting and well detailed. I didnt know you were half Bulgarian and Russian, thats pretty interesting. Also its cool you decided to do CDM instead of languages, I'm the same, i hate studying. Also your drawing is really weel done, you could defintly use that talent in a future career. Anyway enjoy year and good luck.

It is very impressive that you are bilingual, I have always wanted to learn French and ASL fluently. The piece that you have shown us created by you is amazing, you are extremely talented. How did you get on in year one? Are you enjoying college so far this year. Good luck with the rest of the year but I doubt you`ll need it!
